Peak Lab Rescue - Our Mission

At Peak Lab Rescue, our Mission is to end dog homelessness in North Carolina. We're doing this by saving Labs, Lab Mixes, and other deserving dogs from high-kill shelters.

Peak Lab Rescue is the largest foster-based dog rescue in North Carolina. That means we do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes where they can learn the skills necessary to become successful family members.

What is a "highly-adoptable" dog?

Peak Lab Rescue utilizes our many years of experience to determine which shelter dogs are most likely to successfully transition to living in a home.

We do our best to identify dogs who are people-friendly, dog-friendly and ready to be part of a family.

That's what we mean by highly-adoptable.
